*YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE MAY NOT COVER MARRIAGE COUNSELING*
It is the client’s duty to verify benefits with insurance. Some insurances do not cover sessions for couples, marriage, or family therapy (CPT Codes 90847 and 90846).
If your sessions are not covered, you can use CARE CREDIT for any bills of $200 or more to get 6 or 12 months of deferred interest financing for intensive therapy and retreats.

If your insurance isn’t listed, you can always try using Thrizer, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network (OON) therapy sessions.
They allow you to only pay your co-insurance for OON sessions after you meet your deductible. This means you don’t have to pay my full rate upfront, submit a superbill, and wait for the reimbursements.
We will first check to confirm you have out-of-network benefits.
If so, I will use Thrizer so that you are only charged your co-insurance for sessions post-deductible.
Here's how it works:
1. Sign up for Thrizer at https://www.thrizer.com/for-clients:
2. Enter your insurance information. Thrizer will verify if you have out-of-network benefits
3. Receive an instant benefit breakdown. Thrizer will let you know your deductible and estimated out-of-pocket cost.
4. I will enter your sessions into the platform and charge your card on file my full session rate.
5. Thrizer automatically submits the claim and handles any insurance follow-up.
4. You get reimbursed by insurance!
Note: Thrizer’s goal is to save you time and money. It's completely optional, and as your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation.

I allow two (2) last-minute cancellations and rescheduling without notice. You can miss up to 2 appointments per year without a fee. After that, fees apply:
3rd missed appointment: $50
4th missed appointment: $100
5th missed appointment: $200 (Full session rate) / consideration for transfer of care
*FOR SCHEDULED INTENSIVES AND RETREATS:
A 50% refundable deposit is required at booking, with the remaining balance due on Day 1. Cancelling less than 2 weeks before Day 1 incurs total balance charges.
If you cancel the Intensive/Retreat within 2 weeks of Day 1, you will be charged the total amount of the balance.

It varies! The duration of your therapy hinges on factors such as what you’d like to accomplish, personal background, the therapy method we decide to use, and your efforts outside of our sessions to reinforce progress.
Some folx accomplish their goals in as little as a few sessions, while others may continue therapy for longer periods of time such as 3-6 months or even 1-2 years.
Clients often progress more swiftly through their therapy by engaging in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) or Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) due to its structured nature.
ADDITIONALLY: I offer every client a personalized workbook with exercises and video content as adjuncts to therapy to expedite progress. This is especially helpful to continue reflections in between sessions.
-
Availability is FLEXIBLE!
My general hours are between 9am-3pm Mon-Thurs. However, for those opting for extended sessions of at least 90 minutes minimum, I'm happy to extend my availability as late as ending at 7 pm.
Sessions are scheduled with your convenience and progress in mind. I prioritize fitting therapy seamlessly into your busy schedule, ensuring we can make expedited progress together. For those looking to dive deep and make some serious headway, I offer extended therapy sessions with evening and weekend availability.
Whether it's during the day or after hours, I'm committed to providing you with the support and flexibility you need to thrive in your therapeutic journey.

Equitable Pricing Model for Therapy Services
At Couples Counseling of Central Florida, I believe in making therapy accessible and equitable for everyone.
I use a tier rate structure, empowering you to choose a self pay pricing option that aligns with your financial situation, ensuring that you receive the support you need without added stress.
Why Choose Your Own Pricing?
I understand that financial situations vary greatly from person to person. This approach is rooted in trust and respect, acknowledging your ability to assess your own needs and circumstances.
By allowing you to select a rate that feels right for you, I aim to eliminate financial barriers and foster a more inclusive environment.
By selecting the rate that best fits your situation, you contribute to a sustainable and fair system that benefits everyone.
I appreciate your honesty and commitment to this community-driven model and thank you for being a part of this mission to make therapy accessible for all.
*I also partner with organizations to help subsidize the cost of treatment that you can check out below.
-

have income unpredictability due to external circumstances but still able to cover basic needs and pull from a savings to manage instability gaps
-
45 minutes - $175
60 minutes - $225
This rate reflects the true cost of providing therapy services. It supports the sustainability of the practice while offering you comprehensive care.
Paying this rate helps subsidize lower rates for others who need it. It's a way to contribute to the community and ensure access for everyone.
Consider this rate if you:
meet all your basic needs and can put money towards savings or retirement regularly
engage in hobbies, leisure activities, or luxuries without financial worry

have flexibility in your job to miss a significant amount of work and can still pay bills for the next month

Does my plan cover out-of-network behavioral health services in an outpatient setting? Would it be covered if I had a referral from my primary care doctor?
Do I have a deductible for that?
How much is that deductible? How much of that have I met? And once I do, how much will my plan cover?
Can I, the patient, submit claims electronically? If so, how? If not, what are my options for submitting?
What are the reimbursement rates for CPT codes 90791 (Diagnostic Evaluation), 90837 (Individual Therapy), 90847 (Family Therapy) when these services are provided by a licensed master's level therapist such as an LMFT?
-
Keep in mind that you may also have a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) that can be used towards our appointments as well. HMO’s do not provide reimbursement for out of network, but PPO providers often cover 60-80% of the cost.
